Eastbourne Lettings has been established since 2003. We are a family run business with most of our staff having joined us from the start.
We are here to help guide you in the process of renting and offer our extensive knowledge of the area.
If we have not answered all your questions on our site, please do get in touch by phone or email and we will endeavour to assist as best as possible.
We make renting an easy process
We pride ourselves on offering a personal yet professional service to all our clients. Our team is trained to assist you in finding the most suitable property to meet both your needs and pocket! We have many years experience in this specialised field and excellent knowledge of the area.
No one application is the same;
You may be a family with children and pets, retired, looking for a quiet location or you may require easy access for commuting.
We will adapt to whatever your circumstances are.
So what are the next steps?
You need to contact a member of our team, either by telephone, email or calling into our offices located in Church Street in Old Town.
Once we have established your requirements we will make arrangements for you to view a selection of available properties. When you have decided on which flat or house you intend to rent, we will require our Application Form to be completed in order that we may apply for references.
During this process we will keep in contact with you in order to quickly resolve any possible queries and to make arrangements for your moving in date.
Making sure everything is covered
Referencing
Referencing is out sourced to a specialist agency experienced in obtaining usually the following information in order to proceed with any letting:
- Confirmation of Employment and earnings
- Credit search
- Character references including previous Landlords/Agents
- Previous addresses
- In certain circumstances a Guarantor may be required
- Photo ID will be required either a Passport or Driving Licence with a photograph
Tenant Fees Required:
There are no fees required for tenants.
Moving in to your new home
Arrangements will be made for you to officially sign the Tenancy Agreement, pay the remaining monies due and to collect keys.
Most Landlords require us to carry out an official ‘Check-In’ of the property. We compile a report of the condition of the flat or house and take meter readings. The utility suppliers are then informed of your name, move in date and the readings taken. If we manage the property you will contact us directly if there are problems with the property and we also carry out a quarterly inspection of the property. If the Landlord self-manages the property, you will be given contact details to report to.
Of course we are here to help to in case of emergencies.
Rents are payable by Standing Order, you simply sign a form instructing your bank to pay us.
These are normally dated 3 days before your rent is due to allow for banking transactions.
